Our auto claims team is committed to delivering the highest caliber of service. If your vehicle is ever damaged due to a covered loss, you can rest assured that we'll work hard by quickly and efficiently handling your claim so you can get back in the driver's seat as quickly as possible. Although filing a claim can feel complicated, with Encompass, it's a simple process.

  • Step 1: Make a claim.

    Call 1-800-588-7400 to report an auto claim anytime, any day. Please have your policy number ready.

  • Step 2: Talk with a claims team member.

    Your agent will be notified and an Encompass claims specialist will follow up with you by the next business day.

  • Step 3: Evaluate damages and make an estimate.

    Your claims team member will schedule an inspection of the damage and prepare an estimate for covered damages based on necessary repairs and/or replacement.

  • Step 4: Review your estimate.

    Your adjuster will contact you to discuss the damage estimate and settlement based on your policy provisions, terms and coverage.

  • Step 5: Complete your claim.

    We will send you appropriate documents and applicable payments.

  • Encompass Roadside Assistance.

    An Encompass claims service representatives can help if you're ever in a bind by arranging service in the event of a breakdown, flat tire, dead battery, tow or locksmith assistance or if you run out of gas.1

  • Rental car referrals.

    We'll help you line up a rental car right away. As soon as we can verify that your policy includes rental reimbursement coverage, we can usually arrange direct billing to us.

  • Auto glass referral and repair.

    Report your claim and schedule an auto glass replacement appointment with one call to our claims service at 1-800-588-7400.2

  • Workmanship guaranteed on repairs.

    Our claims representatives will always honor your choice of repair shop. In fact, your claims representative can issue a check directly to you for covered repairs. Or if you prefer, we can recommend a qualified repair shop and even offer a lifetime workmanship guarantee good for as long as you own the vehicle.3
