The Encompass Optimization Service can improve the performance of the Encompass web site and prevent common errors.  Once installed it automatically configures internet explorer with the following settings:

Internet Options within Internet Explorer:

• Advanced tab:
  • Select Disable Script debugging
    • IE 6.0 SP2 / IE 7 - Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)
  • Deselect Display a notification about every script error
  • Deselect Do not save encrypted files to disk
• Set your temporary internet file folder cache size to a minimum of 250MB
• Trusted Sites within the Security tab:
  • Add the following websites to the zone:
    • Allstate.com
    • Encompassinsurance.com
    • Deerbrook.com
    • GotoAssist.com
  • Security level defaulted to Low
• Privacy tab:
  • Add the following websites and set them to Always Allow
    • Allstate.com
    • Encompassinsurance.com
    • Deerbrook.com
    • GotoAssist.com
• Pop up Blocker
  • Add the following websites and set them to Always Allow
    • Allstate.com
    • Encompassinsurance.com
    • Deerbrook.com
    • GotoAssist.com
• Check for the installation of the following programs:
  • Internet Explorer 6 or later
  • Adobe Reader 5.x or later
  • MSXML 4.0
